If you want to make a truly individual statement Hörmann can support your creative talents. ‘Open for Infill’ is a steel frame waiting for the DIY enthusiast to design and build their own timber boarded garage door. Its struts are pre-drilled at 30mm spacing, allowing the enthusiast to fix timber boards simply and quickly. The Open for Infill frame is also suitable for a GRP door leaf.

Operating Gear

Hörmann styles of door come with two options of mechanism for operation depending on what kind of doors you wish to order. The first, the Canopy option, is usually fitted on single doors for an easy lift and drop. Running on vertical rails, the door is flipped to a right angle during elevation. The second option, retractable gear, allows the door to run inside the garage using a pair of horizontal rails fitted at the top of both garage walls. This latter option is purpose built for use on Hörmann’s double doors.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s Open for Infill frame and struts are made from galvanised steel and finished in a white or dark brown polyester primer coat. The frame is very tough and durable with fully welded reinforcing struts. It forms a perfect foundation on which to make a lasting and individual statement.

Automation
