Style & Design
Hörmann’s Horizontal design of garage door use timber boards fixed horizontally on the underlying steel frame. The high quality tongue and groove construction gives long lasting quality and warmth in a timeless style of garage door. You can integrate a Vertical door within your decorative scheme by choosing from a range of nine timber finishes. There are also matching designs of side garage door available as options.

Operating Gear

Hörmann offer a choice of well-engineered lifting gear for their up and over doors. These meet stringent European standards and ensure smooth, safe and reliable operation. Canopy gear leaves about one third of the door outside the garage when opened. Retractable gear allows nearly all the door to be stored inside the garage when fully opened, but requires additional horizontal tracks. Single door sizes can be fitted with canopy or retractable gear and double sizes are fitted with retractable gear.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s timber garage doors are made from solid tongue and grooved cedar in most cases. The quality of the joinery and attention to detail reflect Hörmann’s commitment to produce doors engineered for durability, reliability and safety. The timber is pre-treated and can be fully finished in a choice of colours: Ebony, Dark Oak, Golden Oak, Light Oak, Medium Oak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Teak or Walnut.

The Horizontal is available in Hörmann’s standard single and double garage door sizes.
