Style & Design
Hörmann’s classic Georgian panelled design of sectional doors is available in three sectional widths. The small width S-Panel version produces a door leaf with a row of panels per section. The precise profiling produces an elegant garage door with finely detailed rectangular panels. There is a choice of single or double skinned construction. The double skinned includes foam to provide greater insulation against heat loss and noise, ideal if your garage is built into your house. The S-Panel design is available in two finishes. The embossed Woodgrain offers Traffic White is standard, or a choice of RAL colours as an option. The alternative is a Decograin® Golden Oak or Mahogany woodgrain finish.

All sectional panelled doors are available with a range of windows to let in daylight with the door shut or create a visual highlight on the door. There are three types of daylight focused rectangular windows with clear or crystal glazing options. For a visual highlight there is a sunrise design with lattice work.

Operating Gear

Hörmann sectional operating gear is engineered for smooth, quiet and safe operation. Continuous tracks enable the door section to open vertically – pass round a curve - and then travel suspended into the garage space. This operation means you can make full use of your garage and drive space for parking vehicles. You also get the full drive through width of the garage as sectional doors can be mounted behind the opening. The construction also fits a range of different garage shapes effectively – including curved and arches.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s steel sectional garage doors are precision engineered from interlinked sections of galvanised steel. The S-Panel door has a choice of two sections: single skin or double skinned with insulation (42/20mm). The construction produces a strong, durable and articulated garage door. The galvanised steel is pre-treated and single skinned types finished in Woodgrain embossed surface finish. This produces a robust texture with a sawn timber feel that makes it easy to repair minor scratches. The double skinned 42/20mm is available in embossed Woodgrain or in Decograin^® - a synthetic foil coating with an embossed surface to create the appearance of Golden Oak or Mahogany wood grain.

Automation

Hörmann sectional doors use the same electric operator kits as up and over retractable doors. They require programming to ‘recognise’ the type of door they are operating with. Hörmann’s electric operator kits are summarised in our Automation product descriptions.
