Style & Design
Hörmann’s Burbage design brings new energy to the characteristic warmth of a timber boarded garage door. The boards are mounted in four groups at 90° to each other, creating a design effect similar to a camera shutter. The effect makes a feature of your garage and is probably most suited to modern house styles.

Operating Gear

Hörmann offer a choice of well-engineered lifting gear for their up and over doors. These meet exacting European standards and ensure smooth, safe and reliable operation. Canopy gear leaves about one third of the door outside the garage when opened. Retractable gear allows nearly all the door to be stored inside the garage when fully opened – but requires additional horizontal tracks. Single door sizes can be fitted with canopy or retractable gear - double sizes are fitted with retractable gear.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s timber garage doors are made from solid tongue and grooved Cedar in most cases. A galvanised and powder coated steel frame supports the timber – leading to a very strong and secure garage door. The quality of the joinery and attention to detail reflect Hörmann’s commitment to produce doors engineered for durability, reliability and safety. The timber is pre-treated and can be fully finished in a choice of colours: Ebony, Dark Oak, Golden Oak, Light Oak, Medium Oak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Teak or Walnut. Regular re-treatments are recommended to preserve the timber and its good looks.
