Cardale Tudor Heritage

Style & Design
Cardale’s Tudor uses a strong top frame with sloping top profile to distinguish its design. A strong top Cedar moulding creates the profile and chamfer detailed mouldings frame six tall rectangular panels on a single door. A double sized door is formed by a pair of these designs, divided by central mouldings that run the height of the door. The design results in a classically styled garage door that blends with traditionally styled houses.

Operating Gear

Cardales range of doors are designed for ease of operation using one of two types of “up and over” operating gear. Safelift Canopy (Trackless) employs no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage with the whole mechanism mounted to the fixing frame. When opened, one third of the door remains outside the opening to form a canopy. Slideaway gear allows the door to retract fully into the garage space on horizontal tracks. Maximiser Slideaway gear for single doors employs cranked arms at wing mirror height to allow extra drive thru width. 

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s Timber Heritage garage doors are manufactured by hand from solid Cedar face mouldings on premium quality external plywood. The construction technique produces a range of traditional timber panel door designs on an aluminium or steel chassis that braces the door panel. Heritage garage doors are supplied in a basecoat timber treatment or fully finished in a choice of Light Oak, Mahogany, Walnut or Burnt Oak. Regular timber treatments are required to preserve timber doors and keep them looking their best.
