Cardale Hambledon Glasswood

Style & Design
Cardale’s Hambledon design evokes an historic architectural style in a modern material and build. A pair of three vertical panels is moulded in relief on the face of the single door. They form a gentle slope up from the edge of the door towards its centre to produce the historic feel. Double doors use a pair of these designs. The wood grain effect combines the warmth of timber with a very low maintenance finish. The Hambledon works well with more traditional styles of architecture using timber doors and window frames.

Operating Gear

Cardales range of doors are designed for ease of operation using one of two types of “up and over” operating gear. Safelift Canopy (Trackless) employs no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage with the whole mechanism mounted to the fixing frame. When opened, one third of the door remains outside the opening to form a canopy. Slideaway gear allows the door to retract fully into the garage space on horizontal tracks. Maximiser Slideaway gear for single doors employs cranked arms at wing mirror height to allow extra drive thru width. 

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) garage doors are manufactured from the mould. They have integral steel stiffeners for enhanced strength, rigidity and security. Glasswood is a highly detailed wood grain effect finish applied to the outside of the door. This offers the appearance of timber in a very low maintenance finish. Glasswood is available in white, Magnolia, Light Maple, Bleached Oak, Light Oak, Honey Beech, Hazel, Golden Brown, Dark Oak, Teak, Chestnut, Rosewood, Red Mahogany, Dark Mahogany, Bronze Sheen and Ebony wood tones. The rear of the door can be ordered in standard Premium or optional Deluxe white finish. Deluxe has an additional flowcoat applied to produce a smooth semi-gloss finish and reduce translucency. The option also includes a brass effect handle.

Hambledon GRP Glasswood is available in Cardale’s standard single, a selection of standard double sizes or made to measure sizes.
