Cardale Chevron Futura

Style & Design
Cardale’s Chevron design uses diagonally mounted tongue and grooved boards on the outside of the door. These are aligned on two opposing diagonals to create the chevron effect. Natural variations in the colour of Cedar wood grain create a striking effect from a design that has an energetic and contemporary feel. Double sizes of the Chevron produce the same visual effect from two opposed diagonals.

Operating Gear

Cardales range of doors are designed for ease of operation using one of two types of “up and over” operating gear. Safelift Canopy (Trackless) employs no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage with the whole mechanism mounted to the fixing frame. When opened, one third of the door remains outside the opening to form a canopy. Slideaway gear allows the door to retract fully into the garage space on horizontal tracks. Maximiser Slideaway gear for single doors employs cranked arms at wing mirror height to allow extra drive thru width. 

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s Timber Futura garage doors are manufactured by hand from solid Cedar using tongue and groove boards and mouldings. They have an aluminium or steel chassis to brace the door panel. Futura garage doors are supplied in a basecoat timber treatment or fully finished in a choice of Light Oak, Mahogany, Walnut or Burnt Oak. Regular timber treatments are required to preserve timber doors and keep them looking their best.
