Style & Design
Cardale’s Cardinal design reproduces the decorative effect of timber panelled interior walls on the front of a garage door. Fine Cedar mouldings create a six column by three row pattern of panels on a single door. Double door sizes use a pair of these layouts. The lighter Cedar mouldings contrast with the darker background of plywood panels to reinforce the visual impact of this panel door. A choice of colour finishes allows you to blend a Cardinal garage door with your decorative scheme. A standard black or optional brass effect handle completes the look.

Operating Gear

Cardales range of doors are designed for ease of operation using one of two types of “up and over” operating gear. Safelift Canopy (Trackless) employs no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage with the whole mechanism mounted to the fixing frame. When opened, one third of the door remains outside the opening to form a canopy. Slideaway gear allows the door to retract fully into the garage space on horizontal tracks. Maximiser Slideaway gear for single doors employs cranked arms at wing mirror height to allow extra drive thru width. 

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s Timber Heritage garage doors are manufactured by hand from solid Cedar face mouldings on premium quality external plywood. The construction technique produces a range of traditional timber panel door designs on an aluminium or steel chassis that braces the door. Heritage garage doors are supplied in a basecoat timber treatment or fully finished in a choice of Light Oak, Mahogany, Walnut or Burnt Oak. Regular timber treatments are required to preserve timber doors and keep them looking their best.

The Cardinal garage doors are available in Cardale’s standard single, standard double or made to measure sizes.
