Canopy gear is available with single doors. It uses rollers that run along vertical tracks for movement and a horizontal spring attached to cable drums to provide lift. One-third of the door projects outside the garage space when fully open, creating a ‘canopy’ effect. This type of lifting gear is pre-fitted to the door.
User Friendly Safety Devices
The door is secured by two or four latching points on the frame. Separate handles and cylinder locks are often fitted. A number of safety devices are incorporated. These protect fingers and feet, and prevent the door falling if a lifting cable wears out.
