Style & Design
The Fife features a well-proportioned and detailed panel design. The panels are framed by softer more complex profiles than the Alton. The top row includes an arched profile to create a contrast to the rectangular panels beneath. Vertical detailing lines are used to complete an elegant design on a strong and secure foundation. All Wessex steel doors are pre-treated and supplied in white polyester primer paint. This allows on-site finishing in a colour to suit your decorative scheme.
Operating Gear
Wessex offers a choice of Safelift or Slideaway lifting gear for their one piece up and over garage doors. The Safelift overhead gear is compact and simple, but leaves about one third of the door outside the garage when opened. Slideaway gear has smoother operation and allows nearly all the door to be stored inside the garage when fully opened. Slideaway gear is ideal for automation by electric operators.
Materials and Finish
All Wessex steel doors are constructed from high quality steel that produces a strong, secure and robust garage door. The steel is galvanised, pre-treated and primed in a white polyester coating. The door is supplied in this primed state, ready for undercoating and a final top coat on site. It is essential that these coats are added and maintained to ensure the corrosion resistance of the door.
Automation
Wessex offer electric operators for Safelift or Slideaway lifting gear. More information can be found in our Automation product descriptions.
