Style & Design
The Moreton uses GRP to create a modern panel design modelled on the idea of a stable door. Wide timber effect mouldings are replicated and used to frame four large wood grain textured panels. The pair of upper panels has a gentle arching profile. The Moreton is a distinctive garage door and likely to create a strong impact when complementing wooden windows in a modern house.

Operating Gear

Hörmann styles of door come with two options of mechanism for operation depending on what kind of doors you wish to order. The first, the Canopy option, is usually fitted on single doors for an easy lift and drop. Running on vertical rails, the door is flipped to a right angle during elevation. The second option, retractable gear, allows the door to run inside the garage using a pair of horizontal rails fitted at the top of both garage walls. This latter option is purpose built for use on Hörmann’s double doors.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s GRP garage doors are engineered for durability, reliability and low maintenance. They use a galvanised and powder coated steel frame to support the GRP moulded infill. This combines the strength and security of steel with the low weight and minimum maintenance of GRP. The Moreton is offered in a choice of wood grain surface finishes in White, Mahogany, Dark Oak, or Contryside Oak.

Sizes

The Moreton is available in three widths up to 8’0” (2438mm) and two heights 6’6” (1981mm) or 7’0” (2134mm).
