Cardale Bedford Chevron Futura

Style & Design
Cardale’s Bedford Chevron uses diagonally mounted tongue and grooved boarding to create a chevron effect. A pair of these boarded panels sits below a pair of eight pane windows in single door sizes. Stippled glazed windows are used to let daylight into the garage when the door is shut. Bedford Chevron double sizes have four panels and thirty two window panes. The natural colour variations in Cedar wood grain reinforce the chevron design, creating a striking garage door for modern or contemporary house styles.

Operating Gear

Cardales range of doors are designed for ease of operation using one of two types of “up and over” operating gear. Safelift Canopy (Trackless) employs no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage with the whole mechanism mounted to the fixing frame. When opened, one third of the door remains outside the opening to form a canopy. Slideaway gear allows the door to retract fully into the garage space on horizontal tracks. Maximiser Slideaway gear for single doors employs cranked arms at wing mirror height to allow extra drive thru width. 

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s Timber Futura garage doors are manufactured by hand from solid Cedar using tongue and groove boards and mouldings. They have an aluminium or steel chassis to brace the door panel. Futura garage doors are supplied in a basecoat timber treatment or fully finished in a choice of Light Oak, Mahogany, Walnut or Burnt Oak. Regular timber treatments are required to preserve timber doors and keep them looking their best.
