Hörmann’s Georgian sectional panel designs are available in three widths. The large width L-Panel version produces fewer but wider panels per section than the M-Panel and is particularly effective on double sizes. The precise profiling produces a distinguished garage door with a distinctively classic feel. The L-panel design uses a double skinned section profile that includes foam to provide greater insulation against heat loss and noise, ideal if your garage is built into your house. The L-Panel is offered in a Woodgrain textured surface with a wide range of RAL colour options to match your personal requirements. It also has nine different aluminium or steel handle options to complete your personalised ‘look’.

Operating Gear

The major benefit of having this particular operating gear is the quick and easy storage that only sectional design can afford. The horizontal panels fold effortlessly upwards, collapsing into a small stack which is moved inside the garage. This allows for wider access due to the lack of vertical rollers, and extra peace of mind against damage or injury when in storage.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s steel sectional garage doors are precision engineered and manufactured from interlinked sections of galvanised steel. The L-Panel door is constructed in a double skinned section with insulation (42mm). The construction produces a strong, durable and articulated garage door with excellent insulating properties. The galvanised steel is pre-treated and finished in a Woodgrain embossed surface. This produces a robust texture with a sawn timber feel that makes it easy to repair minor scratches.

Automation

Hörmann sectional doors use the same electric operator kits as up and over retractable doors. They require programming to ‘recognise’ the type of door they are operating with. Hörmann’s electric operator kits are summarised in our Automation product descriptions.
