Cardale Edwardian

Style & Design
Cardale’s Edwardian makes a feature of a top row of crisply defined arched panels. These contrast with a lower row of rectangular panels. A single garage door has four of each type and double sizes sixteen of each. The combination of panel shapes means the Edwardian looks equally at home with traditional or contemporary styles of architecture. The choice of finishes allows you to blend the Edwardian with your decorative scheme.

Operating Gear

Cardale’s single sized doors are fitted with canopy or retractable lifting gear. Double sizes use retractable gear. Retractable gear allows nearly all the door to be stored inside the garage when fully opened. Canopy leaves up to one third outside, but has no tracks projecting into the garage space. Cardale’s canopy gear is called Safelift and there are two versions of retractable gear: Slideaway and optional Maximiser II with cranked lifting arms. The Maximiser II creates a wider drive through space for vehicles when its lifting arms fully open the garage door.

Materials and Finish

Cardale’s steel garage doors are manufactured from premium grade galvanised steel. A number of treatments are added to produce a corrosion resistant garage door. The Edwardian is available in five factory finishes:

• Prima
• Weatherwhite
• Weatherbrown
• Weathergrain Golden Oak
• Weathergrain Rosewood

Prima has a primer coat, allowing you to paint Edwardian doors in your choice of colour. Weatherwhite, Weatherbrown and Weathergrain are Plastisol coatings. These are very durable and resistant to fading or colour change. They provide a low maintenance finish on the outside of the door.
