Style & Design
Hörmann’s Livingstone recreates a traditional pair of timber garage doors in modern materials. Each vertically boarded panel is finely detailed and framed. It is capped by an eight pane crystal glazed window that allows light into the garage with the door shut. A choice of timber finishes is offered to blend your garage door with a particular decorative scheme. The Livingstone is a classic design with very low maintenance requirements that works with a wide range of house styles and building materials.

Operating Gear

Hörmann styles of door come with two options of mechanism for operation depending on what kind of doors you wish to order. The first, the Canopy option, is usually fitted on single doors for an easy lift and drop. Running on vertical rails, the door is flipped to a right angle during elevation. The second option, retractable gear, allows the door to run inside the garage using a pair of horizontal rails fitted at the top of both garage walls. This latter option is purpose built for use on Hörmann’s double doors.

Materials and Finish

Hörmann’s GRP garage doors are engineered for durability, reliability and low maintenance. They use a galvanised and powder coated steel frame to support the GRP moulded infill. This combines the strength and security of steel with the low weight and minimum maintenance of GRP. The Livingstone is available in a choice of wood grain surface finishes in White, Mahogany, Dark Oak, or Cherry Oak.

Sizes

The Livingstone is available in widths of 7’ 0” (2134) and 7’6” (2286mm) and heights of 6’6” (1981mm) or 7’0” (2134mm).
